KLS tire warmer (Pro-X TST Nomex)

Our newly developed carbon fiber heating technology 2.0 is used in the KLS proX-TST model. Until now, our heating fabric consisted only of carbon filaments running lengthways. After very extensive tests, we can now offer our "carbon fiber heater 2.0". The carbon threads are now arranged in a kind of grid structure. Damage to a carbon thread, for example through mechanical overload, no longer leads to damage or failure of the tire warmer.

The well-known evenness and rapid heating is retained in version 2.0 as before. However, the durability and service life are multiplied by this new development. Countless GP winners and world champions rely on our superior heating technology. The fastest possible heating of tires and rims without local overheating on the sensitive tire rubber ensure maximum grip and service life!
Only the proX has an asymmetrical heating profile: In the inclined position of the tire, approx. 15% more heating power is effective than in the central tread area. This ensures that the inclined position offers sufficient grip even with short heating times.

Another unique feature of the proX: 3-dimensional pre-formed heating elements for an optimal fit / heat transfer and a long service life.

With the proX-TST you can select two temperature levels using a mini switch. Precision thermostats with ultra-low control hystereses are used. The target temperatures are 60 ° C or 90 ° C. On the one hand, the 60 ° C level has proven to be very effective for heating very temperature-sensitive tires, e.g. rain tires or intermediates. On the other hand, it offers the possibility of keeping a tire warm at a “grip-friendly” temperature level for a longer period of time without any harmful side effects.

Example: in free practice the driver comes into the pits and it is still unclear how long the break will be. You can then put the proX-TST back on the tires at the 60 ° C level and keep it warm, if necessary longer times of> 1.5 hours.
Approx. 10 minutes before the driver goes back on the track, you switch back to the 90 ° C level in order to bring the tire to the optimal operating temperature,

At 20 ° C ambient temperature approx. 30 minutes at 90 ° C tire temperature and approx. 45 ° C rim temperature. | The proX-TST is equipped with a red and green indicator LED. The red LED signals the active heating mode (i.e. red LED = on) or the control activity of the thermostat (thermostat off = LED off). The green LED lights up whenever the tire warmer is plugged into the power supply. The advantage is that one is on one Blick (even if the red LED is not lit) can check whether the function is guaranteed.

Also available as a FULL NOMEX VERSION with a red, blue or black strip. Inside AND outside material here made of highly heat-resistant NOMEX.
The use of the full Nomex version is recommended for motorcycles on which the exhaust pipe is passed very close to the tire (approx. <50mm). Otherwise the tire warmer may be damaged when installing or operating the tire warmer when the exhaust pipe is very hot.

The sidewalls reach far down to the sides of the rim flange in order to protect the sidewalls of the tire and the rim from cold wind. On the one hand, this improves the suspension properties of the tire and ensures a more constant tire pressure thanks to a slightly higher rim temperature.

A central Velcro flap and elastic bands incorporated on the side enable quick and easy assembly and disassembly.

For the first fixation on the tire, our tension spring built into the tire warmer (registered utility model!) Has proven its worth. There is no longer any fiddly threading of a Velcro strip through the rims.

Power is supplied via an approx. 1.8 m long connection cable with a Euro plug.
A stable cable strain relief ensures long-term problem-free operation.
